The intermittent records of a slightly socially retarded, trigger happy, newbie registered nurse attempting to defy mediocrity.. and gravity, of course.

so as those who actually care about my life would know, this past week i've been on clinical placements at bh hospital . and well, i don't think a blog post could express the week ive had .

i was beyong nervous about this week because it would decide .. well , decide my future . if this, nursing, would be what i wanted to do with the rest of my life . and im glad to say, after this week .. it is (: its a really strange feeling , but it does feel like .. my calling . that might sound a little strange, but im feeling a sense of accomplishment . im not sure if thats the right word to use, but .. i feel content . its hard to describe . im really .. happy .

besides my life calling and all that sort of d&m stuff , i cant say its been easy . the first few days i was a nervous wreck . i felt incompetent, lost, overwhelmed, sad and with early shifts starting at 7am, pretty sleep deprived too . my parents were amazing though - on my first day i woke up and they had both woken up and made me breakfast, lunch and dropped me right outside the main entrance of bh hosp. as much as i want to be independent, i love being pampered xD .

by the end of the week however, i felt like i was doing something productive . contributing to mankind . even in one week, ive got so many stories, including code blues , code greys , runaway patients , hot curry ortho doctors , holding hands , showersshowersshowers , male parts , poo , wee , old italian men , handover and new friends .

i think i tend to write more than people want to read, so ill stop here .

the about me section that can never truly fully describe a person.
it usually emcompasses the favourite movies, favourite music and all that jazz, but really when you think about it these aspect of me change every few years and can never really define me, as me.

but here are the basics anyway:
1. i'm left handed but drive with my right hand.
2. i like milk, but only safeway light milk.
3. i have a dog named phileo and he's white with a pink nose.
4. i am, after three crazy years, a registered nurse, division one.
5. i wish my life was a musical and i often burst into song and love it when people around me join in too
6. i'm sometimes just a mess but above it all, my jesus is always there to come to the rescue. he's pretty swell :)
