The intermittent records of a slightly socially retarded, trigger happy, newbie registered nurse attempting to defy mediocrity.. and gravity, of course.

well, im off to Japan today. I'll probably still have internet connection there, and I'm bringing my laptop and all. (since Japan is supposedly a high-tech place, it shouldnt be too hard to find wifi !)

But before I go, I'll give a little recap on my last week in Melb ! (and essentially, my last week of holidays.. cause when i get back, I'll have started work and then uni straight after ! it never ends ! D=< )

The year is going past so quickly. In eleven days, I'll be jetting off to Japan and then malaysia. It seemed like such a long way away when we first planned this trip.. and we're off to possibly the most exciting holiday I've ever been on .. in a little more than a week! Time passes, to use the oh so true cliche, with a blink of an eye.

By the time we get back, I'll have started my new job at hospital, have training for a week and then start my second year of uni. To be honest, I'm dreading both of them. I know I should be excited about new opportunities etc etc, but I'm really just scared. I'm scared that this will turn out to be the same as last year. I'm scared that I'll fall back into that place of mediocrity.

I've been really challenged of late to ask of more, seek of more and to attempt for more from God. He really is all that you need. I want Him to work in my life, so the world can see His glory. I don't just want to be another 'nice' christian girl. I want to see His awesome power in my life, and others to see Him for all He is.

More than that, I want to feel Him in the silent moments, where its only me and Him. Not just at awesome conferences, or with crazy loud music. But in the stillness, where no feelings or emotions can heighten any sensation, where you can truly know that He is God.

I want to be Caught UP. 0


A week into 2008, and so far.. its been pretty awesome :D A taste of greater things to come !

Planetshakers Conference hit Melbourne and whoaa .. what a week of awesome worship & preaching !! (and terribly painful feet from jumping like crazy XD) I've learnt so much, and am determined not to let this year slip by without putting these things into practice .

I'm so pumped for tyouth/C6H1206/toast this year ! i deeply believe that this year is gonna see great things from God . I'm claiming that promise of the 'double portion' , as numerous as the stars in the sky. We all have to do our bit though, we have to be hungry for God's works.. humble ourselves and He will come and heal our land !!

Oh, and Pastor Judah Smith is pretty much great . I've downloaded his podcasts & listened to like 4 sermons today XD I don't think I've ever had so much preaching in one day XD but its SO good .

Anyway, I'm just really excited about this year.. hopefully you've caught a bit of that from this post :D I'm saying Byebyebye to the crap year that was 2007 and pressing onwards and forwards into 2008 ! bring it on ! :D


Eight random things about me

1. I have a conical flask on my bedside table that I 'borrowed' from the chemlabs on the last day of school . I miss chemistry class terribly .

2. I have a special set of cutley that I use at home, I used to refuse to eat unless I had my special spoon & fork .. what a spoilt child -______-''

3. The thought of me turning 20 next year freaks the ..freaks out of me, I don't think I'm anywhere close to the person I thought I would be at 20 .

4. I've always wanted to cut my hair really short at least once in my life, but am too self-conscious to break the 'long hair is pretty' trend .

5. I've always had a phobia of phonecalls, especially of calling 'professional' people (meaning banks or future employers etcetc)

7. I nearly always get a twin sausage bun from Breadtop, and then another bun that I've never tried .. It's kinda a life-ambition to try every single bun in breadtop .

8. I've kind of tried not to write about boys in my blog.. but it isn't really working cause I think I'm falling..

it usually emcompasses the favourite movies, favourite music and all that jazz, but really when you think about it these aspect of me change every few years and can never really define me, as me.

but here are the basics anyway:
1. i'm left handed but drive with my right hand.
2. i like milk, but only safeway light milk.
3. i have a dog named phileo and he's white with a pink nose.
4. i am, after three crazy years, a registered nurse, division one.
5. i wish my life was a musical and i often burst into song and love it when people around me join in too
6. i'm sometimes just a mess but above it all, my jesus is always there to come to the rescue. he's pretty swell :)
