youth were found at sleepout alive in winter .
[note: i startted this blog a few weeks ago and never posted it .. im ill just finish formatting and then post xD so hold on for more recent events xDD ]
winter sleepout was great fun. we had john christopher come in to talk to us, who has an amazing story . he lead a comfortable life, as many of us are, with a stable job etc etc . but when God called him to give it all up ( and when i say ALL - i mean ALL - his house, his job, his car ) sell it and give the money to the poor . he did . now he's living on the streets, talking and helping teh homeless . because really, the only way to help others is to understand them and humble yourself to that level . what a story ! (i didnt get any pictures of him.. but he had hobo gloves ! )
after his talk, we played a few games and the boys (and ida) chased each other with cardboard houses . andd then the girls slept outside , while the wussy boys slept in the hall . at about 4.30am it started to rain though, so then we went inside .
jane couldnt be bothered walking, so we dragged her around in her sleeping bag and dumped her body in the bush xD .

youth alive - i think ive been every year since yr7 or something to that effect . this year, i wasnt very excited as such . after a bit of a dilemma over transport and whether to go or not, i was late on the train and feeling just really tired - feeling a little too old for it too xD . but when the night was over - i was so glad i went . antiskeptic were so crazy playing, the dancers were so funky - they did a body wave head to toe (its hard to explain, ill put up video later) , preston was funny as - just like reggie .
but most importantly, PS. MIKE GULIELMUCCI WAS THERE . he was diagnosed with cancer 11 months ago and given only 6 months to live . 11 months later, he was on stage at youth alive proclaiming the start of his healing . the week previously from youth alive - he was in a wheelchair with a broken back & leg etc (cause with bone cancer, bones break really easily) , on the night itself he was standing, JUMPING and proclaiming the start of a turn around - the beginning of his HEALING . so awesome .

Oppps.. I didn't see this post. The winter sleepout looked fun. And I guess you guys did enjoy urself. =)
